Hip Shing Hong was awarded the “15 Years Plus Caring Company Logo” at The Caring Company Scheme Award Presentation Ceremony 2018/19 in recognition of its commitment and efforts to corporate social responsibility. Mr. David Fong, Managing Director, was present at the ceremony to show his support and share the joy.

Hip Shing Hong participated in the “Big Little Things” Pilot Programme organized by Business for Social Good of Our Hong Kong Foundation. Last year, it provided simple yet creative solutions to improve the living environment of the grassroots community. To extend the scale, it distributed “Bedbug Control Sets” to 300 households living in the subdivided units this year. Hip Shing Hong hopes to sow the seeds of hope for the needy in the community and encourage more engagements from the industries, as well as fostering the collaboration between the government, business and social sectors.

Hip Shing Hong was one of the first batch of corporations supporting the “Big Little Things” Pilot Programme last year by introducing gadgets for ventilation, cooling and bedbug control for residents of the subdivided flats in a week’s time. This innovative approach of using cross-sector collaboration was applauded as a successful model to tackle the problems faced by the grassroots community. Mr. David Fong, Managing Director of Hip Shing Hong, was invited as one of the panel speakers at the Commission on Poverty Summit 2019 today, sharing his views on the importance of community work, as well as his valuable experience on participating in the “Big Little Things” Pilot Programme. Mr. Simon Huang, Head of Property, also shared how Hip Shing Hong developed simple yet creative solutions to improve the living environment of the underprivileged within a week.
