Madera Hong Kong, the latest development of Hip Shing Hong Group of Companies (“HSH”) located in the hidden gem district – Jordan, today celebrated its grand opening. The Grand Opening Ceremony was officiated by Mr. Shen Chong, Director General of Coordination Department, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR; Mr. Gregory So, JP, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development, the Hong Kong SAR Government; Mr. Juan Manuel Lopez Nadal, Consul General of Spain; Mr. Patrick Kwok, General Manager of Business Development, Hong Kong Tourism Board; Dr. Henry Fong, SBS, DBA, JP, Chairman of HSH; Mr. David Fong, BBS, JP, Managing Director of Group and Madera Hong Kong. Over 100 distinguished business leaders and guests graced the Grand Opening of the Hotel.

Corporate social responsibility has always been one of the key values of HSH. Sparkling harp performance by a group of 12 less privileged children under 10 of the F.S.F.T. Fong Shu Chuen Primary School was followed by the gifting of a harp to each child by the officiating guests allowing them to continue their interest in such a beautiful musical instrument. Hotel Madera will select 4 NGOs to donate to each year and its first donation went to the Children Cancer’s Foundation at the ceremony.
