2011

  • Hip Shing Hong won five awards in a row including “Special Award for SMEs” of the 2011 HKMA Quality Award by the Hong Kong Management Association, “Manpower Developer” by the Manpower Developer Award Scheme of the Employees Retraining Board, “5 Years Plus Caring Company” Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, “Best Managed Property” Award and “Best Security Guard” Award of the Kowloon West Best Security Services Awards 2010 as well as “Customer Service Excellence Award for SME 2010” by the Hong Kong Association for Customer Service Excellence.

2010

  • Hip Shing Hong was awarded the 5 Year+ Caring Company Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.
  • The groundbreaking ceremony for Madera Hong Kong, the company’s first hotel project, was held.

2009

  • Mr. Fong Man Hung, David became the Managing Director of the Company.
  • Hip Shing Hong received the "Class of Excellence" Wastewi$e Label of Hong Kong Awards of Environment Excellence from Campaign Committee.

2008

  • Hip Shing Hong celebrated its 60th anniversary.

2007

  • Partnering with Henderson Land Development and New World Development, Hip Shing Hong ventured into hotel and other commercial activities.

2004

  • HSH was firstly awarded the Caring Company Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.

2003

  • Hip Shing Hong won the bid of the now Hip Shing Hong Centre in Central amid the SARS outbreak, and housed the Hip Shing Hong Group headquarter office in January 2004.

2002

  • The Group first set foot in the serviced apartment market by operating Excellent Court in Jordan district in Kowloon.

1997

  • HSH acquired a commercial building, which is now known as Hip Shing Hong Mongkok Plaza.

1994

  • An asteroid (5198), discovered by the Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing, has been named after Dr. Fong Yun Wah by the International Asteroid/Comet Naming Committee.

1993

  • Mr. Fong Man Hung, David returned to Hong Kong and became the Deputy Managing Director of the Company.

1989

  • HSH announced its privatization plan for easier philanthropy work.

1978

  • Fong Shu Fook Tong Foundation, which was established in 1970, started contributing to education programs of the nine tertiary institutions in Hong Kong.

1972

  • HSH was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, priced at HK $1 per share.

1965

  • The Estate Agents Authority was established, and Dr. Fong Yun Wah was one of the 68 founding members.

1958

  • HSH started the sales of its first residential building – Kam Wah Building.

1953

  • HSH won the bid of the plot of 20,000 sq. ft. on 33-35 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, the first purchase of land by the Company.

1951

  • HSH became the biggest cinnamon exporter in Hong Kong.

1948

  • Mr. Fong Shu Chuen started the business of cinnamon and sesame trade, by importing from the Mainland and exporting to the US. In April, Hip Shing Hong was established on Wing Wo Street, Central.

1927

  • Mr. Fong Shu Chuen and his oldest son, Dr. Fong Yun Wah, arrived in Hong Kong for better business opportunities, and established Yee Tak Sesame Factory in Shau Kei Wan.
